Alcoholism:The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.Dual Diagnosis:Dual Diagnosis patients are those who find themselves battling two very distinct and two very different challenges simultaneously. On one hand there is the challenge of chemical or alcohol dependence, itself a very serious condition, and on the other, a severe mental disorder which, more often than not, is being fed and further complicated by the addiction. Unsurprisingly, these patients respond differently to treatment than those with a single diagnosis, and may be considered high-risk depending on the situation. Knowing the seriousness of such co-occurring disorders, Unity Rehab is uniquely equipped to treat patients who suffer from mental illness and addiction at once.Substance Abuse:Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Intensive Outpatient:Intensive Outpatient Treatment (also known as IOP for Intensive Outpatient Program) The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to meet the needs of individuals who suffer from a substance use disorder and need more than weekly counseling, but dont need residential care. The program provides monitoring several times a week in a supportive group setting. The group meets three times a week mornings or evenings for three hours. Participants attend for three to eight weeks, with four weeks being the average.Aftercare Support:In order to provide a complete, supportive continuum of care, weekly Aftercare for program graduates is available. Research shows that clients are more likely to be successful in maintaining abstinence if they are involved in recovery activities on a long term basis. The Aftercare program is designed to provide ongoing support in the form of structured activities that include clients, alumni, staff, families, and the community. Fresh Starts Aftercare program consists of a weekly group facilitated by an experienced counselor who helps guide clients in their recovery efforts, assisting them in meeting the goals contained in their continuing care plans, and providing a safe space to explore real life challenges to maintaining recovery.Outpatient:Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.Inpatient:Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient\'s individual requirements.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy:Fresh Start Recovery Center offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a carefully crafted relationship between a sober coach or addiction treatment counselor and client, where the coaching relationship continually gives all the power back to you, the client. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an addiction treatment approach that was originally developed to help people deal with depression, but has been proven to be a highly effective methodology to helping people with substance abuse issues. Through using CBT with a strong focus on overcoming addiction, they believe that the patient find the answers to the questions or challenges that may have led to addictive behaviors and actions.Family Therapy:Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.Group Therapy:Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.Individual Therapy:In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
